Tooth-Colored Fillings

It is rare for individuals to never develop a cavity. These small holes can easily form because of genetics, poor oral hygiene, the consumption of unhealthy foods and beverages, and even certain medications. When one develops, we will restore the tooth using color-matched composite resin. This means it will blend in with the rest of a person’s smile, preventing exposure to others who would normally be able to pinpoint dental work if traditional amalgam was used.

Dental Crowns

Also referred to as “caps,” dental crowns are made from various materials, including porcelain-fused-to-metal, EMAX, zirconia, porcelain, and gold. Customized and placed over the entire tooth structure, it protects against future decay and damage while also helping to strengthen the vulnerable tooth. Our dental crowns are crafted using putty-free digital impressions, producing precise three-dimensional molds for lab technicians to use during fabrication.

Root Canals

Severe tooth pain can occur for many reasons, but one of the most common is an infection that exists within the innermost layer – the pulp. When damaged or impacted by serious decay, this sensitive area will require a root canal to clear out infected tissues and irrigate the canals. Dr. Arbaugh will fill it with gutta percha, a malleable substance, before placing a custom-made dental crown.

Tooth Extractions

It is our goal to always help patients keep their natural teeth; however, when serious decay or damage impacts the functionality of the tooth and/or inhibits the health of a person’s smile, we may recommend extraction. The removal of the tooth will be performed in-house, and we will bring in our own board-certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Chris Morgan, if necessary. The entire process is completed with patient safety and comfort in mind and ensures optimal results for a healthier smile.
